When you create a quiz in ScreenPal, sync those quiz scores with your learning management system (LMS) Gradebook, and then make later adjustments to your students' grades within ScreenPal, you might receive an error when you attempt to re-sync the quiz scores. This error states, "Quiz contains legacy grades. Not all grades synced."
Why am I receiving this error?
Quiz submissions from your LMS include launch data that allows ScreenPal to associate a quiz attempt and grade with a specific LMS user. This data is required so that ScreenPal can provide quiz results for a user within ScreenPal and correctly display the synced quiz score in your LMS Gradebook for the same user. Previously, this launch data was only retained for three days. Therefore, if you attempt to return to an old quiz in ScreenPal, update the scores, and resync those scores to your Gradebook, the launch data is no longer available, and this error is displayed.
What should I do?
When this occurs, you can update the quiz score in ScreenPal as your normally would. Next, log into your LMS and update the result in your Gradebook manually.
Going forward, launch data will be retained permanently and you will always be able to update quiz scores in ScreenPal and resync them to your LMS Gradebook.
