If you have Computer Audio enabled in the Screen Recorder and it fails to capture audio, it may be due to your Windows system settings.
There are a few things you can do to make sure your computer audio can be captured by the Screen Recorder:
- Disable sound enhancements
- Disable 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound
- Make sure you are not using a gaming headset
- Set your playback device to play at 44100 Hz
Disable sound enhancements
Disable 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound
Some sound cards and headsets support 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound, which must be disabled while capturing computer audio.

Make sure you are not using a gaming headset
If you have a Bluetooth, USB, or wireless gaming headset, it might be incompatible with our app. To see if that is the case, you can unplug the headset or choose a different audio device by following the steps below.
- Right-click the
Speaker System icon in the lower-right corner of the Windows Desktop.

- Click Sound settings.
- Under Input, select the radio button next to the speaking or recording device that you want to use as your default.
- Restart the Screen Recorder to see if you can enable computer audio capture.
Set your playback device to play at 44100 Hz
- First, right-click on the Speaker System icon in the lower-right corner of the Windows Desktop.

- Click Sound settings.

- Under Output settings, next to Format, be sure that the 16-bit, 44100 Hz option is selected.

- Restart the Screen Recorder to see if you can enable computer audio capture.
