Share Videos using the ScreenPal Google Chrome extension

The ScreenPal extension for Google Chrome records enables you to record videos from any text box within your browser and insert them into these text boxes.

First, click here for more information about how to install the ScreenPal extension.

After you have completed a recording, the extension will create a link in the box where you recorded, like this:

You can also choose to have it generate a GIF in the text box instead:

The ScreenPal extension automatically shares the video to those who have access to that location (for example, a forum post).

When you hover over the link, the app opens a window and enables you to see the recorded video, as well as open the ScreenPal Editor by clicking Manage.

When you click Manage, the video will open on the video in the Video Details tab.

Use this tab, as well as the other tabs, to perform the following actions:
  1. Video Details - From here, you can edit the title of the video, add a description, change the video visibility based on a direct link or channel, change or customize the video thumbnail, add player customization and branding, and add captions.
  2. Interaction Tools - From this tab, you can create call to action buttons and annotation links, as well as quizzes and polls. Please note that these features are only available with certain plans.
  3. Share Video - Use this tab to copy the direct link to your video, create custom links and embed codes,  and add your video to a channel.
  4. Notes - From the Notes tab, you can add time-stamped notes to your videos to call your viewers' attention to specific areas.
  5. Users - This tab is only displayed if you are part of a Team Plan. From here, you can share this video to users and groups who are members of your team, and transfer ownership of your video to another user.
