The message that the app "Failed to download latest version for app! (error: updatejars)" means the app was blocked from accessing the internet.
As an alternative, you may try downloading the latest installer
here. Next, double-click on the installer file in your Downloads folder to run the software update.
If the download or install still fails, it is most likely due to your firewall blocking communications with ScreenPal's online services.
If you are connected to a restricted work or school network, we recommend that you ask your IT department's network administrator to allow or exempt all HTTP/HTTPS traffic on the following domains:
*.screenpal.com
*.screencast-o-matic.com
*.speech.googleapis.com
It is also recommended that you:
- ensure that cookies are allowed and not blocked
- do not use a VPN (if applicable)
