Upload limit for Free users

Free ScreenPal Plans are now limited to 10 hosted videos.

You can download videos from your ScreenPal Hosting account any time by following the steps below:

1. Log into ScreenPal.
2. Hover over a video in your library and click Manage.
3. From the Video Settings area, click the More icon in the top right and select Download MP4.

If your free account exceeds the 10-video limit, you will receive an email stating that you have 30 days until all but your last 10 uploads are moved to the Trash. You will also see a banner within your ScreenPal account that contains this information.

Once your oldest videos have been moved to the Trash, you will receive another email, notifying you that these videos have been marked for purging. You will then have 30 days to recover this content by upgrading your ScreenPal account.

If you maintain a free plan and upload over 10 videos after the initial deletion mentioned above, you will see a banner within your account and receive an email notifying you that you have 24 hours to take action before all but your 10 newest uploads are purged from your account.

If you would like to keep all the content that is currently in your ScreenPal Hosting library, you can upgrade to one of our paid plans now.

FAQ

What will happen to my existing videos?
If you have a free plan and you currently have more than 10 videos uploaded to ScreenPal Hosting, you will receive an email and see a banner displayed within your ScreenPal account.  The email and banner notify you that you have 30 days to take action before older hosted videos are moved to the Trash.  If you do not take action, after 30 days, all but your most recent 10 uploads will be moved to your Trash. Then you will have 30 additional days to recover it from the Trash by upgrading your account.  If you do not upgrade, these videos will be permanently purged.

How do I get my videos out of the Trash?
Subscribe to one of our paid plans to automatically restore all videos currently in your Trash.  If you choose to keep a free plan, you can still recover videos from the Trash by deleting some of the 10 videos that are still active in your account. This frees up space and you can restore as many videos as you delete from your Trash.

Will links to my videos stop working?
Links to the 10 videos that remain in your ScreenPal Hosting account will continue to work.  However, if a video is moved to the trash or permanently purged, the link to it will no longer work.

What will happen to embedded videos on my website?
If a video is deleted from your account, it will no longer be displayed in places where it was embedded using an embed code.

How do I reduce my hosted video count?
You can reduce the number of videos in your ScreenPal Hosting account by deleting old content that you are no longer using. Before you delete a video, you can download it to your device as an MP4 (see steps above).

What are my upgrading options?
You can upgrade your account to a Solo Deluxe or a Solo Max plan to continue hosting unlimited videos.  Our current plans, including pricing, are listed on our Plans page.  You can also take advantage of our Solo Edu pricing if you have an email address that includes a valid educational domain.

I upgraded my plan, why are my videos still in the Trash?
It's possible that you upgraded using a different user account than the one for which your content was moved to the Trash.  Please contact our Support Team for assistance.

One of my video links won't load but I don't see that video in the Trash.
If it's been more than 30 days since a video was moved to your Trash, it has been permanently purged.
It is also possible that you logged into ScreenPal with a different account than the one that contains your videos in the Trash. Please contact our Support Team for assistance.

How does this impact my recording and editing capabilities?
In short, it doesn't. ScreenPal will continue to allow unlimited recording and editing of videos on our desktop app with a video duration limit of 15 minutes. This change is only regarding videos uploaded to ScreenPal hosting.
