Update your Screencast-O-Matic app to ScreenPal

If you are still running the Screencast-O-Matic desktop application on your computer, you can quickly and easily update your tools to ScreenPal.  You might still be running the old version of our app if you typically launch Screencast-O-Matic by clicking the icon on your desktop, toolbar, or system tray.

When you update your tools, your current subscription will be unaltered.  You will still have access to all the same features you had with your Screencast-O-Matic plan.  All of your content will still be available from your hosting account, your analytics data will be unaffected, and all of the content you previously shared via direct links or video embeds will automatically redirect to the new link.

We recommend updating as all future enhancements will be added to ScreenPal, and not Screencast-O-Matic.

1. To begin, quit the Screencast-O-Matic application if it is currently running.

2. Visit screenpal.com and log into your account with the username and password that you have always used for Screencast-O-Matic.

3. Click the Create button in the top right corner.

4. Open any of our desktop tools by clicking Capture Screenshot, Record Screen, Edit Image, or Edit Video.

This will install the updated version of our application on your computer.  

Info: To update our app on your mobile device, just visit the App Store or the Google Play store and download the latest version.
