Q: What has changed?
A: Our name and branding. You can still expect the same quality products and support, with a new name that is easier to say, spell, understand, and type.  Our tools work the same way they always have, with a fresh look. Additionally, all your existing settings will remain in place.

Q: Do I need to change my username and password?
A: Nope! All of your usernames and passwords will remain the same and all of the content you have created and shared on Screencast-O-Matic.com will automatically redirect to a new link. Your audience will not have to do anything to continue viewing your content. If you use a password manager, you may need to update it to correctly associated your Screencast-O-Matic.com username and password with ScreenPal.com. For more information, see this article.

Q: How do I update my tools?
A: If you typically launch from your Desktop or system tray, you will first need to quit those applications. Next, visit our website, ScreenPal.com, log into your account using the same username and password you always used for Screencast-O-Matic, and launch any one of our tools (the Screenshot tool, Screen Recorder, or Video Editor). This will install the updated version of our applications on your computer.
To update our app on your mobile device, simply visit the App Store or Google Play Store, and download the latest version of our app.

Q: Will I lose features?
A: Nope! Your current subscription will be unaltered. You will have access to all the same great features that you had with your Screencast-O-Matic plan. Additionally, analytics data in your content hosting account will be unaffected. You will have continuous data from before and after our relaunch as ScreenPal.

Q: Will I lose or have to move my content?
A: Simply put, no.
All of your content will still be available from your hosting account. Instead of visiting Screencast-O-Matic.com, you will simply go to ScreenPal.com. We will automatically redirect you if you forget. Any content created from the Video Editor will still be available when you launch the Project Manager from your account on our new site.

Q: Will I lose any of my Analytics data?
A: No, analytics data in your content hosting platform will be unaffected by this change. You will have continuous data from before and after our relaunch as ScreenPal.

Q: Can I still use Screencast-O-Matic instead of ScreenPal?
A: Yes, for a limited time we will allow users to launch the Screencast-O-Matic tools. New content will be hosted on ScreenPal.com, not Screencast-O-Matic.com, however. We do recommend updating as soon as you can, since all of our future updates and feature enhancements will only be added to ScreenPal. 

Q: Does this impact my subscription?
A: No. Your currently selected plan will remain in place and you will not have to update any plan or subscription information due to this change.

Q: Will this change break my embedded videos or video links?
A: No. All of the content you previously shared on Screencast-O-Matic.com, via links or embedded videos, will automatically redirect to a new link. Your audience does not need to do anything to continue enjoying your content.

Q: How does this change benefit me?
A: Our new name provides many benefits, including that it is easier to say, understand, spell, and type. We've refreshed the look and feel of ScreenPal for a more intuitive, consistent experience across our desktop, web, and mobile applications.

Q: Will this impact integration with our LMS?
A: No. Any existing integrations will remain in place after our relaunch as ScreenPal.

Q: What's happening to your ScreenPal Google Chrome extension?
A: This extension is still available and is now called Video Messaging
