ScreenPal AI

ScreenPal AI

When you have a Solo Max plan, or are a member of a Team Plan, you can use ScreenPal AI to generate content for your ScreenPal videos.  This content including a title, video summary, chapters, and captions.

Additionally, if you are using a ScreenPal Team Plan, you have the option to enable audio descriptions as part of ScreenPal AI.  Audio descriptions provide narration for people with visual disabilities about important visual elements in your videos.  If you'd like access to this feature, please contact the ScreenPal Sales team

For more information about how to add audio descriptions to your videos, please see our tutorial titled Add Audio Descriptions to Videos.

Enable AI for Solo Max plans

As a Solo Max user, turn on the AI feature by logging into your ScreenPal account and going to your Settings.

From the menu on the left, click AI Tools.  Select the Enable AI features check box.

You can then choose whether to automatically apply AI to all the content you upload to ScreenPal, or manually generate AI content to a video by clicking the ScreenPal AI button.
You can also enable automatic captions translations on video watch pages for your viewers.

Enable AI for Team Plans

As the Owner or Administrator of a Team Plan, you can enable the ScreenPal AI feature for your team members.

Go to Settings > AI Tools and select the check box for Allow users to access AI features.

Next, select one of the following options:
  1. To allow members of your team to decide when to use ScreenPal AI and apply it manually to their videos, select Users can decide when to use AI on content.
  2. To automatically apply AI to all videos uploaded by your team members, select Users will automatically have AI applied to newly uploaded content.
You can also choose to enable automatic translations on video watch pages for your audience by selecting the checkbox next to Enable auto-translations on watch pages for viewers.  When auto-translations is enabled and a member of your team runs ScreenPal AI on a video, anyone who views the video from the watch page can select their preferred language from a list to translate the video's captions.

Quick tips for improving AI captions

  1. When you record narration, speak loudly, clearly, and naturally
  2. If possible, use an external microphone, rather than your computer's built-in device
  3. Place the microphone within three feet of the person speaking
  4. Narrate your video in a quiet area without background noise or music
  5. Avoid overlapping dialog (multiple people speaking over one another within your recording)
