My MP4 file fails to import into ScreenPal
With all ScreenPal plans, including free subscriptions, you can import a video file into the ScreenPal Video Editor for editing. The videos you import must be .mp4, .screenpal, or .somrec files.
Please note, however, that not all MP4 files are the same. Some MP4s may be formatted in such a way that they are not compatible with our application. ScreenPal looks for h264 video (also referred to as Advanced Video Coding, or AVC video) and Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) audio within the MP4 file. You might need to update the settings of the audio and video recorder you are using to create your MP4s to ensure that it uses these standards.
If changing these settings is not a possibility, you may be able to find a conversion tool online that you can use to transcode the files so they are compatible with ScreenPal. Examples of such conversion tools include CloudConverter and Adobe Express.
