macOS permissions

If you are unable to record the screen, camera  or microphone using ScreenPal on macOS, use the following steps to ensure that all necessary permissions are enabled.

Alert
If the app is unable to lauch, or is acting slow or otherwise unresponsive, use the steps outlined here instead.
  1. Click the Apple icon (top-left corner of your screen) and select System Settings:

  2. Navigate to the Privacy & Security tab, then go through and check the Camera, Microphone, Files and Folders, and Screen & System Audio Recording settings:

    Note: Older versions of macOS display Screen Recording instead of Screen & System Audio Recording.
  3. In each of these settings windows, toggle ScreenPal to Enabled:

After enabling these permissions, exit and relaunch the application.  Here are the steps to do so:
  1. From the right side of the Mac menu bar, Control+Click the ScreenPal app icon.
  2. Select Quit from the pop-up menu:

  3. Login to screenpal.com.
  4. Use the desired launch icon:
