There are two ways you can import audio narration when creating a Stories project:
1. Click the
Import / Export icon (
) at the top of your storyboard and select
Import Narration. Next, click
Choose Audio File and select a narration file from your computer.
Using this option imports one audio file and applies it to your entire Story, across all storyboard sections.
The number of "sections" in your audio narration file should match the number of storyboard sections. Our application will scan your audio file for silences over two seconds and separate each section of narration between these gaps into a storyboard section. If you need to insert silences into your audio file, see the information about Audacity below.
2. Alternatively, hover over a section of your story, click the Add audio icon, and click Import Narration.
This option enables you to import shorter audio clips for each individual section of your story.
If you need help editing and adjusting your audio files to correctly fit your visual content, we recommend downloading an open-source, third party audio editor, such as
Audacity. You can use this app to remove and add silences and split large audio files into smaller ones. You can then import smaller narration files per each Story section, and adjust them to fit your content more easily.
