Capture video with the ScreenPal Chrome extension

Record using the ScreenPal extension

1. Click the ScreenPal icon in the lower right of box where you want to link to your audio and video.



2.  The ScreenPal extension controls will open.  You will see options to record your screen and camera.
    1. Turn on recording for Camera, Screen, or both.
    2. Choose to mute or unmute your microphone.

              

3. Chrome may ask for permissions to use your camera and microphone.  Click Allow to enable the ability record them.

4. Click the red Record button in the extension controls. 

5. On the Choose what to share dialog, select Chrome Tab, Window, or Entire Screen. If you choose Chrome Tab, you will also need to choose which tab to record.


After you choose what to record, a countdown is displayed.  When the countdown finishes, ScreenPal begins recording the screen or tab you selected. 

6. Once you have completed your recording, click the pause button. 


                              

Completing your recording

Continue your recording after pausing it by clicking the red Record button again.
Or, if you are finished with your recording, use the icons below to:
    1. Delete the Recording                                                                                                                                                                                          
    2. Restart the recording from the beginning
    3. Edit the video by trimming or cropping what you recorded
    4. Complete the recording 
                               


When you click the green check icon, ScreenPal creates a link or video thumbnail in the location where you initiated the screen recording by clicking the ScreenPal extension icon.



Viewing your recording

    When you hover over the link, you will see a window pop up that will show the recording.  It will play, and you may choose to replay it, or send it to the editor for further changes.


                                  











    You are able to edit the video at a later date through the editing options after recording.
