Delete, edit, save, or share a recording

After you create a recording using our Screen Recorder, you have several options for what to do next.

Delete

To delete the recording you just created, click the Trash icon.

This displays two options:
Delete & Cancel Recording - Deletes the recording you just created and closes the Screen Recorder.
Delete & Redo Recording - Deletes the recording you just created and enables you to begin a new recording.

Edit

To send your recording directly to the Video Editor, click the Edit Video button.

From the Video Editor you can trim and cut your video, add text and shape overlays, add narration, and more.  When you're finished editing, you can upload the video to your ScreenPal hosting account, save it to your device, or share it to sites like YouTube and Google Drive.

Save

To save your recording to your device, click the Save file button.

Clicking Save file displays the following menu, where you can select the type of file you'd like to save, enter a unique file name, select the folder location for the video, and select the video quality.

When you are finished selecting these options, click Publish to save the recording to the selected location on your device.

Share

To quickly share your recording, click the Share button.

Clicking Share opens the following menu. From here, you can edit some of the video details, click Publish to upload it to ScreenPal, and automatically copy a link to share.

You can also click the three dots in the top right of this menu to display other sharing options:
