Content storage locations on Windows and Mac

ScreenPal content is stored on your computer in a different location depending on whether you have a Windows PC or a Mac, and which version of our application you currently have installed. 

ScreenPal content on MacOS

If you are on a Mac, follow the instructions below to find your ScreenPal content.

1. First, determine which version of ScreenPal you are currently using. To do this, click the Help icon in the upper right corner of the Project Manager ().
This displays the Help dialog, which lists the current version of the application.


2. Open the Mac Finder.

3. Choose from the following options:
   a. If you are on ScreenPal version 3.4.0 or above, find and open the Home folder and then open the ScreenPal folder within it.
   b. If you are on a version of ScreenPal prior to 3.4.0, find and open the Documents folder and then open the ScreenPal folder within it.

Note: If you originally downloaded an earlier version of ScreenPal and have simply upgraded to 3.4.0, your ScreenPal content will still be stored in the Documents folder.  Your storge location only changes if you uninstall ScreenPal and reinstall version 3.4.0 or above.


ScreenPal content on Windows

If you are using a Windows PC, determine your default file storage location by completing the steps below.

1. First, determine which version of ScreenPal you are currently using. To do this, click the Help icon in the upper right corner of the Project Manager ().

2. Open File Explorer.

3. Choose from the following options:
   a. If you are on ScreenPal version 3.4.0 or above, navigate to This PC > Windows (C:) > Users > [YourName] > ScreenPal.
   b. If you are on a version of ScreenPal prior to 3.4.0, navigate to  This PC > Windows (C:) > Users > [YourName] > Documents > ScreenPal.

Note: If you originally downloaded an earlier version of ScreenPal and have simply upgraded to 3.4.0, your ScreenPal content will still be stored in the Documents > ScreenPal location.  Your storge location only changes if you uninstall ScreenPal and reinstall version 3.4.0 or above.
