Audio waveform not showing up on a Mac with USB mic

Please follow these instructions to show the waveform for future recordings.

  1. Use Spotlight to find the "Audio MIDI Setup" app

  2. Choose the USB microphone you are using in the left-hand menu

  3. Set the Format to 44,100 Hz using the dropdown menu

 This should solve the problem for any future recordings.
